Partner of Suspect Vanishes, Raising Questions in Community

The partner of a Utah man accused of a high-profile shooting has reportedly left the St. George condominium they shared. Lance Twiggs, 22, has not returned to the unit, though his car and personal belongings remain inside. Neighbors say lights have stayed on for more than a week, while mail and packages pile up at the doorstep.

Twiggs, a part-time plumber, was questioned by authorities following the arrest of Tyler Robinson, 22, who faces charges in the shooting. While speculation has circulated about Twiggs’s knowledge of the incident, authorities have emphasized that no evidence currently links him to the crime.

An FBI source described Twiggs as a “cooperating human source” and a potentially “significant and essential witness,” possibly eligible for federal witness protection. Residents described Twiggs and Robinson as reclusive, noting that the two appeared private and kept to themselves. During the police questioning, Twiggs was reportedly calm and cooperative, and officers conducted a thorough search of the property with the assistance of dogs and FBI agents.

Text messages released by prosecutors suggest Twiggs may have had limited awareness of Robinson’s plans but no active involvement. Authorities continue to investigate while maintaining that Twiggs has not been charged in connection with the incident. The situation has left neighbors concerned and curious, highlighting the ongoing tension in the community. Twiggs’s whereabouts remain unknown, and officials are focusing on gathering evidence and securing witness cooperation as the legal proceedings against Robinson continue.
